LSU Ringtones
In order to go through the trouble of customizing your ringtone, there needs to be some reason; some emotional attachment; something you really like about the sound, or why bother? Most of us keep our ringtones on vibrate anyway; so we can feel them in our pocket on crowded streets; so we don’t interrupt our co-workers or classmates (yes, it’s my contention that even children “get it” that it’s not cool to have your phone go off in class; it’ll probably get taken away and who needs that?!) So there really needs to be some overarching reason to go through the trouble of switching out your ringtone; some pervading momentum; some love. History says you need look no further than Saturday afternoons and college sports to see the devotion. All year long (ESPECIALLY college football season) there are people walking around with T-shirts, hats, sweaters, jerseys, bags, bandanas of their favorite college sports team. Be it alma matter, father, brother, long standing family tradition or just fascination and appreciation of the spectacle, college sports fans are truly a unique bunch. One of the lighting rod teams in all college sports is LSU. The LSU tigers have a Countdown to Kickoff clock on their website that, as of the writing of this article reads 198 days, 23 hours, 11 minutes, 20 seconds. The game is in September. It’s February. This is the first thing on the LSU football website. I guess it’s important to love your team. So without further adieu, the LSU ringtone for phones has made its debut. Fans couldn’t be more excited.
